Senior Caregiving

Supporting my mother through Alzheimer’s gave me a deep appreciation for patience, empathy, and meeting people where they are. I also got a glimpse of the isolation many seniors experience, even in communities with plenty of social opportunities. Through volunteering at assisted living and memory care facilities, as well as 1:1 home visits, I've become adept at bringing joy and compassion to seniors.

 

Our time together might include cards, board games, puzzles, a casual meal out, or just good conversation. Each visit is an opportunity to create connection, brighten someone’s day, and help them feel valued and appreciated.
